When it comes to updating the look of a particular room, we always think of changing or moving around the furniture or adding accessories. Aside from these things, a basic in interior design that we must not forget is repainting the walls. If you really want a fresh new look, then don’t settle for the old chipped off and dirty paint of the room. You can use a plain color or two to three layers of color. First of all, you must have all your painting equipment ready and easily accessible when doing this activity. Place them all in one table so you know where to get a tool when you need it. For painting, you will need rollers, brushes, cloths, thinner and tape. Once you have everything ready, then you can start preparing the room by moving out furniture and covering up some of the things in the room. After doing this, patch holes and cracks on the walls if there are any. Spread newspaper on the whole floor area to avoid getting paint on it when working.

Painting does not have to be rushed so don’t expect to finish everything within a day. You can simply prepare the room on the first day and start the painting project on the following. For your workload to be easier, consider inviting a friend to help you with this project. Who knows? You might be able to come up with paint designs really complement the whole style of the room. It also pays to have someone help you as this can be an enjoyable activity and a bonding time as well.
